Employee Benefits Benchmarking Tool

Introduction

The MetLife online Benefits Benchmarking Tool is a powerful and easy-to-use resource that's ideal for employers, brokers and consultants, providing insight into how benefits programs and practices vary across regions, industries and other key factors.

Use the Benefits Benchmarking Tool to identify the trends that are most relevant to you. You can also save your searches for future reference — the Benchmarking Tool is available throughout the year as a valuable resource.

This year's Benefits Benchmarking Tool gives you access to an expanded range of benefits information — including 11 new topics that provide greater insight into benefits offerings and perceptions. In most areas, you can set up comparisons with 2006 data as well. We've also introduced two new ways for you to benchmark in addition to the categories previously offered:

  • Region
  • Industry
  • Company Size
  • NEW! Employee Job Type
  • NEW! Employee Life Stage

The Benchmarking Tool's advanced search provides quick access to relevant results, like the chart below:

The Benefits Benchmarking Tool is based on data collected from MetLife's Fifth Annual National Survey of Employers and Employees. This survey is unique in its scope and depth: we conducted in-depth interviews with a cross-section of both employers and employees to provide extraordinary levels of detail regarding benefits programs and perceptions of them.

As the competition to attract and retain the best employees intensifies, you need fast, reliable and detail-rich data. MetLife has that data. Our benchmarking tool can help you turn your benefits challenges into competitive advantages.
